The new board members of Iran’s House of Cinema have been elected.
Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Kamran Maleki, Morteza Razzaq-Karimi, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Seyyed Ali Qaem-Maqami, Homayoun As’adian and Ravanbakhsh Sadeqi were elected as the main members of the board of directors while Saeed Aqiqi and Iman Karamian were elected as the board’s substitute members.
The new board is expected to choose the president, the vice-president, the spokesperson and the secretary during its first meeting.
House of Cinema first started to work as the Iranian Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds in 1989, when members of the board of directors appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the time were put in charge of the establishment of this guild body.
